We were delighted with the work completed by Dan and his team on our landscaping design and construction, and have received many compliments from neighbours. The thoughtful design meant the cold easterly winds were redirected away from the main outdoor living areas, and the batten fencing and glass screening provide shelter while preserving our views of the golf course. They created a beautiful space for us to live in!

Fendalton Garden

I asked Dan Rutherford to design the garden for my new house because I had seen his creativity at a garden show. When we met and I showed him a folio of ideas I liked I knew immediately we could work together. He was enthusiastic and delighted to transform the lovely riverside section into my dream garden. In consultation with my architect Dan and his helpers built decking down to the river and a boardwalk to the front door. The planting was trees for structure and privacy and largely low growing perennials so as not to obscure the view of the river from the house. I was thrilled with final result and have been receiving compliments ever since. My garden has even appeared in House and Garden magazine.

I employed Dan and his team to conceptualise and build an outdoor space on my difficult, sloping property. From our initial meeting, Dan was thoughtful and listened to my requirements. Dan and his team have done an amazing job landscaping my place. I have a steep section on the Port Hills and it was a very challenging project to landscape.
